About

Aimee: I am the daughter part of LMLD. I’m a wife, pup and kitty mama, home owner, runner, cook, dancer, lover, photographer and so much more. I claim California as my home, but the hubs and I bought a house in Orem, Utah so I guess we’re official residents now. I graduated from BYU two years ago, where I studied linguistics, German and TESOL. I used to teach ESL and loved that but now I work full time at Heritage Residential Treatment Center as an executive assistant. In my free time I mostly want to be with my husband all the time, but I like being outside, camping, hiking, taking pictures and playing with our yellow lab. And of course I love to cook. A couple years ago I made a goal of trying 1 new recipe a week, and since then cooking has become a huge part of my life. I am so happy to share our recipes with you, and hope you’ll embark on this cooking journey with us!

Ellen:  I am the mother part of LMLD.  I was raised in Shelley, ID, a very little town in southeast Idaho.  I have been married to a most wonderful man for 30 years.  And because of his love of travel we have visited all 50 states, several Canadian provinces and European countries. I was blessed with 2 amazing children, Aimee and Anthony, who married the best mate possible for them and I have the most adorable granddaughter.  I currently work at a photography studio in Fallbrook, CA where we have lived for 9 years.  Although I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education – I do love to teach and have been able to teach early morning seminary for 8 years.  Aimee started this blog and to my delight I was inspired to start to cook beyond the basics and experiment with new recipes.

Nate (Aimee’s husband), Aimee, Craig (Ellen’s husband/Aimee’s father), Ellen, Karma (Ellen’s mother/Aimee’s grandmother), and Marta (Ellen and Craig’s foreign exchange student from Italy) — taken Thanksgiving 2012.
