As a new mother, its hard not to complain sometimes when you feel exhausted after not getting more than a few hours of sleep a night and you feel like your baby is crying all day long. I finally feel like I’m getting in a routine with Colby and he is sleeping 6 hours straight at night, and then bam he decides he wants to eat every 2 hours instead – growth spurt.
But then I look down at my darling boy and see him smile up at me with that sweet gummy smile and I remember that just in the two short months he’s been with us he is growing and changing and developing every day. I love that he needs me, I love being able to comfort him with my touch, I love when he smiles up at me and I know he’s just trying to say – I love you mama.
I wish I could see life through the eyes of a child again. Their sweet admiration and joy as they discover new things. One of Colby’s favorite things is to go outside and sit under the tree. He loves to just stare up at the tree as the leaves blow in the wind.
I’ve made a couple goals to try this summer to help me be a little more childlike and to enjoy every day to its fullest. To celebrate the bright side of life.
Live in the present. Enjoy each and every day as it comes at me. Don’t worry about the bad things that might have happened yesterday, and don’t try to skip forward to what might be a better time in life. Enjoy today.
Move your body. Get up and exercise. Go for a walk. Dance when you hear music.
Try new things. Be brave and do something you’ve never done before. Taste a new food. Visit a new place. Step out of your comfort zone, you might discover something new that you really like. Make all your dreams come true.
Stay positive. Be grateful. Think about all the things that are going right in your life. Not what might be going wrong.
Smile. Laugh. Live.
One new thing I tried this summer, that makes me smile is Fruttare’s Fruit and Milk Bars. Fruttare’s Frozen Fruit and Milk Bars are a delicious and refreshing cold treat made with real fruit and creamy milk. I tried the Strawberry and Milk and Banana and Milk flavors. They were both perfectly creamy, with a lot of delicious flavor! They also have Peach and Milk, Coconut and Milk, and Mixed Berry and Milk. Fruttare also has fruit and juice bars that are made with real fruit and refreshing juice. Their juice bar flavors are Strawberry, Mango, Lime, Black Cherry and Pineapple. I can’t wait to try them all!
These bars were the perfect cold treat for me on a hot summer day, and you can bet I’ll continue to enjoy them throughout the rest of the summer too.
Another great thing about the Fruttare brand is that they are recognized as synonymous with a positive outlook on life. Which I think is a good idea for all of us.
Now how about you go celebrate the bright side of life and enjoy some delicious Fruttare Fruit Bars!
