Cheesecake Swirled Brownies

  • 1 18 oz box brownie mix
  • egg, oil and water listed on back of brownie mix
For the Cheesecake Swirl:
  • 12 oz (1 ½ packages) cream cheese, or Neufchatel cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 TBS flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  1. Preheat oven according to directions on brownie mix.
  2. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and set aside.
  3. In a medium sized bowl, beat the cream cheese for a couple of minutes until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add in the egg, flour, sugar and vanilla and stir mixture till combined.
  5. Pour all but about ½ cup of the brownie batter into a prepared 9x13 pan.
  6. Spoon the cream cheese mixture on top of the brownie batter.
  7. Spoon the remaining brownie batter onto the top of the cream cheese mixture.
  8. Using a knife, swirl the cream cheese and brownie batter together, creating a marbled effect.
  9. Place in preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the middle comes out mostly clean.
  10. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before cutting into pieces.
