How’s the weather? A common question you might ask in a phone conversation or upon meeting a new acquaintance. Weather is an simple conversation starter, plus it usually is safe as opposed to talking politics or sports. Here in California, when it rains we get giddy because we are in a the midst of a drought. 4 years of drought that has us watering our yards, trees, gardens, etc only twice a week for 10 minutes at a time. I also catch any rainfall runoff in buckets to use at a later date plus there is a bucket in my shower doing the same. I turn the shower water off to soap up, use less water in the washer, and my dishwasher is as full as possible before running. Creativity helps and prayer but that is another subject that you speak carefully about.

Hummus Sundried Tomato RollUps
- 4 cooked tortillas
- 1 cup hummus
- 36 to 40 spinach leaves (washed)
- 1/2 to1 cup sundried tomatoes
- 4 to 6 sprigs fresh basil (washed)
- 4 to 6 mini orange peppers (cut into slivers)
- Lay each tortillas flat
- Spread 1/4 of the hummus all over the top of a tortilla
- Layer 3 to 10 spinach leaves over the hummus
- Spread 1/4 of the sundried tomatoes over the spinach
- Separate the basil leaves from the stem and spread over the tomatoes
- Spread 1 to 1 1/4 pepper slivers over the basil
- Roll the tortilla up tightly, tucking the food inside
- Cut into 6 1" pieces
