Thanks to a giveaway from Linzlinzlinz, I won a free breakfast for two at the Old Towne Grill in Provo. We put it off for a couple weekends because we were busy, but finally decide this last Saturday was the time to go.
The restaurant has an old fashioned feel with antique mismatched tables and chairs and plates and silverware. They serve you water in a giant Kerr Canning Jar and the decorations had that feel too. They tie it all in together with blue table clothes on each table and a piece of parchment paper. I almost wish I’d had crayons to draw on it.
The waitress who helped us was so nice, even though she hadn’t worked the breakfast shift before, she did her best to help us and was very attentive, checking up on us often to make sure we had everything we needed and were satisfied.
Old Town Grille is located inside The Madison which is a dance club on the weekends on their main floor, with country music and even a mechanical bull upstairs, and latino nights starting soon.
But what really sold us, was the food. I ordered a berries and cream cheese stuffed french toast that came with a side of some of the most delicious breakfast potatoes I’ve ever had. Nate’s plate ended up being a feast. For only a price of 7.90 the Ultimate Combo could easily feed two people. He got 2 eggs, which he chose to have cooked over easy, two pieces of bacon, two pieces of sausage, a side of breakfast potatoes, toast and pancakes.
And oh, the pancakes. They were probably the best pancakes Nate or I have ever eaten, with a fluffy middle, but somehow the outside was just a little crispy. De-Licious.
They offer an all you can eat pancakes or french toast, where you can alternate what you get and the pancakes can even be banana, chocolate chip, or banana chocolate chip. Divine. I will definitely be ordering that next time we go back. And we will definitely be going back.
The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner, and I think we’ll have to go back to try those as well, with goodies like street tacos, burgers, chicken roulade and more.
If you live in the area you should definitely try The Old Towne Grille, for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
*I was not compensated for my review. I did win a free breakfast courtesy of Linzlinzlinz.com, but I was not asked to give a review. These opinions are entirely my own. I simply wanted to share some good eats with those in the area.
