When you’re son is turning 3 and he’s already Star Wars obsessed you have to throw him a Star Wars party for his birthday! Right?
Now, even though May 4th has come and gone (May the Fourth Be With You) there are plenty of reasons to host a Star Wars Party. You could do one for a birthday of course, just because you love Star Wars, a Star Wars themed baby shower or gender reveal, or in honor of the new Star Wars movie coming out in December. Whatever you do, here are some perfect ways to celebrate it!
Thanks to Balloon Time we made our party extra fun by making a giant light saber out of balloons. Colby loved it all. You can grab a Balloon Time pink tank from a lot of different stores near you, like Walmart or Target and its a great way to make a party more fun! This would also be perfect for mother’s day, memorial day, or any summer party!
Light Saber Balloon
Balloon Time tank
5 silver balloons
10 red (or green or blue balloons)
string (comes with Balloon time tank)
1) Using Balloon Time’s Pink Tank fill up about 5 silver balloons and about 10 red (or green or blue) balloons.
2) Tie the silver balloons close together on a long string to make the light saber handle.
3) Tie the red balloons above the silver balloons to make the light saber.
4) Weight the balloons down with something with the silver balloons on the bottom and the red floating up to the top.
Pool Noodle Light Sabers
1) Cut pool noodles in half carefully using a knife.
2) Wrap one end of the pool noodle with duct tape. Repeat with about 3-4 more (so 4-5 total) strips of duct overlapping them just slightly to make the light saber handles.
3) Decorate the duct tape using electrical tape wrapped around the noodle or drawn on with a black sharpie.
