One of my favorite posts of the year is this one, looking back on the year and remembering some of my favorite recipes that I made throughout the year and seeing which recipes were the most popular for you guys too!
These are some great recipes, and you guys obviously love sweets and desserts as much as I do, with only a couple savory recipes in the mix.
Pin the top recipes of 2016 for later!
Its so fun for me to see which recipes are popular all year long, and which ones pick up steam quickly and do well in the short amount of time they are on the blog. So without further ado, the top 10 most popular recipes from the year 2016! (These are the 10 most popular recipes from this year that were also posted this year)
#10 Turtle Rice Krispie Treats – These rice krispie treats have only been on the blog for about a month, but apparently the chocolate, caramel, and pecan combo isn’t only popular in our home, but yours as well! With gooey marshmallow crispies, chewy caramel, rich chocolate and crunchy pecans!
#9 Hershey Kiss Smores Cookies These cookies are one of my all time favorites. They have a cookie base filled with graham crackers and topped with a melty sweet Hershey Kiss. Apparently they make a good Christmas cookie, because they were especially popular in December this year.
#8 Berries and Cream Crepes – These crepes are stuffed full of a sweet no bake cheesecake like filling, and a berry sauce. The combination is to die for, whether you’re serving for breakfast or dessert!
#7 Chicken Cranberry Sunflower Salad – One of our popular savory posts of the year, this salad is one of my favorites for an easier lunch, that is light, but filling and bursting full of flavor!
#6 Cheesecake Sugar Cookie Cups – With a sugar cookie crust, and a homemade no bake cheesecake filling, these sweet cookie cups are such a cute and delicious dessert. Top them with your favorite fresh fruit!
#5 Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie – I love starting my day with a smoothie, or having one later for an afternoon snack and this peanut butter banana smoothie is one of my favorite combos! Its sweet enough it makes me feel like I’m eating a dessert instead of a protein packed smoothie!
#4 Snickers Rice Krispie Treats – If you like snickers, you will love these delicious rice krispie treats, topped with caramel, salty peanuts and chocolate these have been one of my favorite treats to make all year long!
#3 Cinnamon Sugar Soft Pretzel Bites – Even better than buying them from the mall, these cinnamon sugary bites are amazing dipped in my homemade cream cheese dip!
#2 Slow Cooker Chicken Enchilada Soup – This soup quickly became popular, and has held that spot the last few months. Its full of so many delicious ingredients and made in just a few hours in your slow cooker for an easy dinner everyone will love. One reader said “Well done and thank you for such a super-delicious and crazy-easy way to get my whole family to sit down around the dinner table! Absolutely a new favorite of mine!”
#1 Caramel Banana Cream Pie – This is the perfect banana cream pie, with a buttery graham cracker crust, and adding caramel to the bottom of it makes it even better!

That chicken enchilada soup looks great! I think it’s funny how desserts are so much more popular than savory recipes, usually 🙂 Happy New Year!
