Apple Crisp

This is the best homemade apple crisp! It’s the perfect fall dessert, with warm cinnamon apples topped with a crunchy crumbly topping. Top it with vanilla ice cream for the perfect start of autumn dessert!

For the Crumble Topping: 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon 6 TBS butter 1/2 cup oats For the Apple Filling: 5 cups chopped apples (cored and peeled too) 2 TBS flour 1/4 cup white sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon 1 TBS lemon juice 1/8 tsp salt

Spread the crumble topping over the top of the apples evenly. Bake it all up until the top is golden and the filling is nice and bubbly. Allow the crisp to cool for just a few minutes, then serve it up warm. Of course with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top. I like the apples cut thin so that we can make sure they’re all soft and tender when baked up.
