Double Chocolate Brownies

Homemade double chocolate brownies that taste even better than the box brownies - double whammy with chocolate chips added.

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (I like mini chips best)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup canola oil (or vegetable oil)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl, the sugar, flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips with the dry ingredients to coat them in the flour mixture
  • Add in the eggs, vanilla and oil and stir until combined.
  • Spread batter into a greased 8×8 pan.
  • Bake for about 22-28 minutes, or until an inserted toothpick comes out mostly clean.

**Recipe can be doubled and baked in a 9x13 pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes.
