DIY Fabric Garland

This DIY Fabric Garland is a fun and easy wall hanging; personalize fabric according to your color scheme and likes.

Ingredients

  • fat quarters of 6-7 different materials
  • ribbon
  • scissors

Instructions

  • Lay out your first piece of material.
  • Cut slits in the top of your fabric every 1 1/2 inches or so.
  • Go to each slit, starting on one side and rip the fabric down to the bottom.
  • Set aside your fabric strips in a pile.
  • Repeat with additional material pieces.
  • Fold one strip of fabric in half, laying the end of your ribbon over the loop.
  • Pull the two ends of the fabric strip through the loop.
  • Continue with additional fabric strips, alternating material as you go.
  • Continue until all your fabric strips are used.
  • Cut the other end of your ribbon and tie knots on each end.
  • Hang where desired.
