Preheat your grill to a high temperature.
Combine all ingredients except the extra cheddar cheese, toppings and burger buns, in a medium sized bowl. Mix together with your hands.
Form ground beef into about 4 patties. (We like big burgers and sometimes do 3)
Place your burgers on the grill and allow them to cook for a few minutes on one side, then flip them over and cook a few minutes on the other side.
Cook until your burgers reach desired doneness (I like well done or medium well personally).
At the last 1 minute to 30 seconds of cooking add your additional sliced cheese to the top.
Remove burgers from grill and assemble.
