Oreo Truffles

These Oreo truffles, also known as Oreo balls are a chocolate cake ball made with only a few ingredients. They're no bake, so easy to make, and are such a delicious chocolatey treat.

Ingredients

  • 36 oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese (1 block, softened)
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips (or chocolate chips)
  • 1/2 TBS coconut oil (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Add the Oreo cookies to a food processor or blender, and blend them into a fine crumb.
  • Add the cream cheese and blend it into the cookie crumbs until smooth.
  • Scoop out 1/2 TBS sized portions of the "dough" and roll it into a smooth ball between your hands. Place ball on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with remaining Oreo mixture.
  • Put cookie sheet in fridge for 30 minutes to an hour.
  • Add the white chocolate chips and coconut oil to a microwave safe bowl and microwave at half power for 60 seconds, stirring as much as you can after. Then microwave in additional 20 second increments, until you can stir it smooth.
  • Drop a truffle into the melted chocolate, and use a spoon to pour chocolate over the top. Lift the truffle out of the chocolate with a fork, and tap it on the edge of the bowl to let the excess chocolate run off.
  • Carefully transfer the truffle back to the baking sheet, using another fork to push it off the first if necessary.
  • Top with extra Oreo crumbs, or sprinkles if desired. Let the chocolate set.
  • Melt additional chocolate chips and drizzle them over the top if desired.
  • Store in the fridge until ready to enjoy.
