Classic Lemonade

This homemade lemonade is the perfect refreshing drink. It's only 3 ingredients and so easy to make, it's the perfect drink when you need something cool and sweet.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water (divided)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice (about 8 lemons)

Instructions

  • Add 2 cups of the water to a small sauce pan, and add in the sugar. Heat over medium heat.
  • Cook until the sugar is completely dissolved, whisking as it heats up. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  • Add the remaining water to a large pitcher.
  • Juice the lemons, and add the fresh lemon juice to the pitcher with the water.
  • Add in the sugar water. And stir it all to combine.
  • Place the lemonade in the fridge for about 2 hours, or until chilled.
  • Serve chilled over ice.
