Funfetti Mug Cake

This Funfetti Mug Cake is the perfect way to have a fun dessert just for you, that is ready in just minutes. It's the perfect dessert when that sweet tooth craving hits.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 TBS granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 TBS unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 TBS milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 TBS rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  • Add the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt to a microwave safe mug (that holds at least 10-12oz) and whisk them all together.
  • Add in the melted butter, egg yolk, milk, and vanilla extract and stir them into the batter. Make sure to get all the flour on the corners of the mug.
  • Add the sprinkles and fold them into the batter. Sprinkle a few extra on top.
  • Microwave the mug cake for 60-90 seconds. Start with 1 minute, then microwave in additional 10 second increments until the top looks set.
  • Top with whipped cream, or frosting if desired.

Notes

*Different microwaves have different wattages. This usually takes 70-80 seconds in my 1000 Watt Microwave.
