Ingredients

  • 12 Oz smoked bacon slices
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a rimmed baking sheet with overlapping foil, and add a oven safe wire rack on top.
  • Combine the brown sugar and black pepper in a small bowl, and stir them together.
  • Add the brown sugar mixture to a plate and dip the bacon strips on both sides into the brown sugar to lightly coat both sides.
  • Then place the bacon onto the wire rack. The pieces can be lightly touching, but do not overlap them. Repeat with all the bacon pieces.
  • Sprinkle any additional brown sugar over the top of the bacon pieces.
  • Bake the bacon in the preheated oven for 15-25 minutes until it has reached your desired crisp ones levels.
  • Remove the cooking tray from the oven and let the bacon cook for at least 10 minutes before enjoying or using in your favorite dishes.
