Equipment

  • Ice Cream Maker
  • Large Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 4 cups chopped peaches (peeled too)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar*
  • 1 cup half and half

Instructions

  • Add the chopped peached and sugar to a large bowl and stir them together. Let them sit for 10 minutes to let the peaches macerate. 4 cups chopped peaches, 1 cup granulated sugar*
  • Add the peaches to a blender and mix until smooth. Put the mixture through a strainer, if desired to remove some peach pulp.
  • Add in the half and half and blend, or stir it into the mixture. 1 cup half and half
  • You can chill the mixture for 1 hour to get it a little thicker, but isn't needed.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared ice cream maker, and churn according to the machines directions, about 30 minutes, until it is a soft serve consistency.
  • Scoop the mixture into a 2 quart container, or other container with a lid, or cover tightly with plastic wrap and foil. Freeze for at least 4 hours, up to overnight.
  • Scoop the sherbet and enjoy.

Notes

*You can add up to 1/4 cup more or less of sugar depending on the sweetness of your fruit
