Ingredients

  • 36 strawberries (about 2 pounds)
  • 12 oz white chocolate chips (or a chopped up baking chocolate bar, or white candy melts work too)
  • 1/2 cup blue sanding sugar

Instructions

  • Carefully clean the strawberries under water. Pat the strawberries completely dry with some paper towels.
  • Add the white chocolate chips to a small bowl and add them to the microwave. Microwave at 50% power in 30 second increments, stirring after each until you can stir the chocolate totally smooth.
  • Dip the strawberries in the white chocolate with about 1/4- 1/3 of the top red strawberry showing.
  • Twist the strawberries over the white chocolate bowl to let the extra chocolate drip off.
  • Dip the strawberries about 1/3-1/2 way up in blue sugar. (Alternatively you can also sprinkle the blue sugar over the strawberries, you'll have a less fine line, but this can prevent globs of white chocolate dripping into the sugar).
  • Lay the strawberries on parchment paper or wax paper, and allow them to rest until the white chocolate is fully hardened.
