Baked Carrots
These baked carrots are perhaps the simplest side dish you will ever make with only 3 ingredients - carrots, butter, and seasoning.
- 5 whole carrots
- 2 Tbs butter or margarine
- salt and pepper to taste
Wash and peel the carrots
Cut the ends off
Cut the carrots so the pieces are 2 to 3 inches long
Cut to quarters or eighths your carrot pieces (depending on how fat the carrot was)
Take a good size sheet of foil
Pile the carrots on the foil
Cut the butter into 4 pieces and place on the carrots
Sprinkle with salt and pepper
Roll the foil up to close it.
Bake at 400 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes (depending on how thin your carrot slices are)
