The Best Salas Ever

Use garden fresh tomatoes with cilantro, garlic, and seasonings to make the best salsa ever.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes (about 5 to 6 Roma tomatoes)
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow onion (1/2 large onion)
  • 1 small jalapeno (seeded and roughly diced)
  • 1/3 cup cilantro (chopped)
  • 1/2 TBS minced garlic
  • 2 TBS lime juice
  • 1 tsp salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp chili powder

Instructions

  • Add the chopped tomatoes, onion, and jalapeno to a cutting board and chop it all up together into even small pieces.
  • Add the tomatoes, onion, and jalapeno to a medium sized bowl.
  • Chop up the cilantro and add it to the bowl.
  • Add in the garlic, lime juice, salt, sugar, cumin and chili powder. Stir it all together.
  • Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  • Enjoy with chips, or your favorite Mexican dishes.

Notes

*make sure you are wearing kitchen gloves when you remove the seeds and don't touch your eyes or it will cause burning
