Homemade Maple Flavored Syrup

This homemade maple flavored syrup recipe is so easy and way better than store-bought syrup. You'll want to pour it on top of all your pancakes, waffles, and French toast stacks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 TBS pure maple extract
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Add the sugar and water to a small sauce pan. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves, stirring occasionally.
  • Bring to a low boil and let cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, until the mixture starts to thicken.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the maple extract and vanilla extract.
  • Serve hot over your favorite breakfast foods.
