Chocolate and Chocolate Chip Swirl Cookies

Favorite cookies of chocolate chip and chocolate swirled together for the best cookie and a pretty design too.

Ingredients

For the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough:

  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick, softened)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/4 cups King Arthur Flour (all purpose flour)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

For the Chocolate Cookie Dough:

  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick, softened)
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 TBS milk
  • 1 1/4 cup King Arthur Flour (all purpose flour)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

For the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough:

  • Cream together your butter and sugars in a large bowl.
  • Add the egg and vanilla and mix in.
  • Add the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and stir to combine.
  • Toss in the chocolate chips and mix them in too.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

For the Chocolate Cookie Dough:

  • Cream together the butter and sugars in a large bowl
  • Add egg and milk and mix in.
  • Add flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder and stir to combine.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

For the Swirl Cookies:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Remove both cookie doughs from the fridge and take about 1/2 TBS of each dough, squish them together and roll them into a ball.
  • Place the cookie balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake cookies for 8 to 10 minutes.
