- 1 tsp water
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups pecan halves
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 TBS cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preheat the oven to 300 F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
Add the egg white, water, and vanilla to a medium bowl and beat it until frothy, with peaks.
Add in the pecans and stir them to coat them in the egg white mixture.
Stir the brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl.
Add the cinnamon sugar mixture to the nuts and stir them together to coat.
Pour the pecans onto the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Check the nuts often the last 10 minutes or so to keep them from burning.
