Cut loaf into slices, about 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick. Set aside.
Add the eggs, milk, apple butter, melted butter, molasses, and cinnamon to a small bowl. Stir them together.
Dip the bread slices into the egg and milk mixture, letting it soak for a couple seconds on each side. Lay the slices on a cookie sheet. Pour any extra egg mixture over the bread on the pan.
Cover the bread on the plan with plastic wrap and place it in the fridge overnight. (You can skip this step if you don't have the time).
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9inch square pan with butter or nonstick spray.
Mix the brown sugar and the cinnamon together.
Spread the butter over the top of the bread.
Sprinkle the brown sugar cinnamon mixture over the top of the bread slices.
Take the bread slices and place them upright in the prepared pan, stacking each of the slices until thy are all in the pan.
If there is any extra butter or brown sugar mixture, sprinkle it over the top of the bread.
Bake the french toast in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes, until hot throughout and the top is golden brown.
Serve french toast slices hot with your favorite syrup.
