Spritz Cookies
These Spritz Cookies are a classic Christmas cookie. They're lightly sweet, buttery, crispy cookies that are so fun and cute - made with a cookie press. Top them with some glaze or sprinkles!

- 1 1/2 cups salted butter (room temperature)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 cups all purpose flour

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large mixing bowl, or stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Cream together the butter, sugar, and salt. Beat them until they are light and fluffy.
Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating between each egg. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
Slowly add the flour, while the mixer is beating on low speed, beating until the flour is well incorporated.
Use a rubber spatula to scoop the dough into a spritz cookie press, fitted with your desired disk.
Press the dough out through the cookie press onto an ungreased baking sheet.
Top the cookie dough with sprinkled if desired.
Bake the cookies for 5 to 8 minutes, until they are barely golden around the edges.
Cool the cookies completely.
Top them with your choice of icing or glaze, if desired.
