Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce (Divided)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices Swiss Cheese (Or use your favorite)
  • 8 Pineapple Slices
  • 4 Brioche Burger Buns
  • Other Burger Toppings (Red Onion, Tomato, Lettuce, etc.)
  • 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add the ground beef, 1/4 cup of the teriyaki sauce, garlic salt, and black pepper. Work them together, no longer than 30 seconds until combined. Do not overwork the meat. 1 pound Ground Beef, 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce, 1 tsp Garlic Salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper,
  • Portion the meat into 4 equal sized portions, and flatten and shape them into 4 patties, as big across as your burger buns. Slightly indent the centers. Place them in the fridge until your grill is hot.
  • Preheat the grill to Medium High Heat.
  • Add the burgers to the grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on one side, then flip. Cook until they reach your desired doneness. While they are cooking brush another 1 to 2 TBS of the sauce over the top of the burgers.
  • Add the Cheese to the burgers in their last minute of cooking. Remove from the grill and let them rest for about 2 minutes. 4 slices Swiss Cheese
  • Add the Pineapple Slices to the grill and cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes. 8 Pineapple Slices
  • Add the buns to the grill for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, until lightly charred. 4 Brioche Burger Buns
  • Assemble the Burgers by taking half a bun and topping with your choice of burger toppings, patty with cheese, and two pineapple slices. Spread about 1/2 TBS of teriyaki sauce over the pineapple slices and let it drip down. Other Burger Toppings
  • Spread Mayonnaise on the top burger bun and close the burger. Enjoy immediately. 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise

Notes

  • Burger Temperatures: Check the internal temperature of the burger patties with a meat thermometer. You'll cook the patties to 125°F for Rare. 135°F for Medium Rare. 145°F for Medium. 155°F for Medium Well, and 160°F for Well done. The FDA recommends cooking ground beet to 160°F for safety.
  • Do Not Overwork the Meat: We want the burgers juicy, and tender. If the meat is over handled and overworked it will be tough.
  • Add Your Favorite Burger Toppings: Add Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onion, or any of your favorite burger toppings!
