Teriyaki Cheeseburgers
These Teriyaki Cheeseburgers are an incredibly flavorful twist on a classic burger, bringing together seasoned juicy beef, melty cheese, sweet pineapple, and the best sweet and savory teriyaki glaze on top. Make these for an amazing burger that feels a little extra special, but is easy enough for any weeknight dinner!

- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce (Divided)
- 1 tsp Garlic Salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 4 slices Swiss Cheese (Or use your favorite)
- 8 Pineapple Slices
- 4 Brioche Burger Buns
- Other Burger Toppings (Red Onion, Tomato, Lettuce, etc.)
- 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
In a large bowl, add the ground beef, 1/4 cup of the teriyaki sauce, garlic salt, and black pepper. Work them together, no longer than 30 seconds until combined. Do not overwork the meat. 1 pound Ground Beef, 1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce, 1 tsp Garlic Salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper,
Portion the meat into 4 equal sized portions, and flatten and shape them into 4 patties, as big across as your burger buns. Slightly indent the centers. Place them in the fridge until your grill is hot.
Preheat the grill to Medium High Heat.
Add the burgers to the grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on one side, then flip. Cook until they reach your desired doneness. While they are cooking brush another 1 to 2 TBS of the sauce over the top of the burgers.
Add the Cheese to the burgers in their last minute of cooking. Remove from the grill and let them rest for about 2 minutes. 4 slices Swiss Cheese
Add the Pineapple Slices to the grill and cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes. 8 Pineapple Slices
Add the buns to the grill for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, until lightly charred. 4 Brioche Burger Buns
Assemble the Burgers by taking half a bun and topping with your choice of burger toppings, patty with cheese, and two pineapple slices. Spread about 1/2 TBS of teriyaki sauce over the pineapple slices and let it drip down. Other Burger Toppings
Spread Mayonnaise on the top burger bun and close the burger. Enjoy immediately. 1/4 Cup Mayonnaise
- Burger Temperatures: Check the internal temperature of the burger patties with a meat thermometer. You'll cook the patties to 125°F for Rare. 135°F for Medium Rare. 145°F for Medium. 155°F for Medium Well, and 160°F for Well done. The FDA recommends cooking ground beet to 160°F for safety.
- Do Not Overwork the Meat: We want the burgers juicy, and tender. If the meat is over handled and overworked it will be tough.
- Add Your Favorite Burger Toppings: Add Lettuce, Tomatoes, Red Onion, or any of your favorite burger toppings!
