Valentine’s Pinwheel cookies are a simple sugar cookie dough made into two colors so you can swirl them together into a fun pink and white cookie!
But then the best part is you can save this rolled dough in the fridge for a couple hours or a couple days to slice the cookies up for whenever you are ready to bake and eat them.
I changed our basic sugar cookie recipe just a little bit to make the cookies a little flatter so that they would keep their pretty shape and colors.
These cookies are great because you can make them in any variety of color options to celebrate any holiday. I really love these red and white cookies for Valentine’s day.
However, if you are like my husband, he thinks sugar cookies need to have frosting. So you can whip up some frosting to cover your pretty pinwheel cookies, however if you do that you won’t see the pretty pinwheels as much, but the cookies will taste a little sweeter. I personally think they taste good without frosting as well.
