These kitchen sink cupcakes are delicious chocolate cupcakes topped with a creamy vanilla frosting, and loaded with toffee pieces, pretzels, potato chips and more. They’re the perfect sweet and salty treat and so delicious!
These kitchen sink cupcakes are inspired by the popular cookie flavor, they’re topped with “everything but the kitchen sink”. Basically they’re topped with all the leftover ingredients in your pantry, to make the perfect sweet and salty combination.
What flavor are kitchen sink cupcakes?
These kitchen sink cupcakes are chocolate cupcakes topped with a vanilla frosting and loaded with everything but the kitchen sink. They are topped with toffee bits, chocolate chips, pretzels, and potato chips, and drizzled with caramel syrup.
These cupcakes are loaded with goodness, but so easy to make! The cupcakes start with a doctored up chocolate cake mix. They’re perfectly moist, chocolatey and delicious. Topped with an easy vanilla frosting, made with a pudding mix. Then topped with lots of delicious sweet and salty toppings – like pretzels, potato chips, chocolate chips, and toffee pieces.
How to make Kitchen Sink Cupcakes?
Add everything you need for the chocolate cupcakes to a large bowl, and stir it all together till you have a nice batter. Scoop the batter into cupcake liners in 2 muffin pans and bake the cupcakes until they are done, and a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let them cool completely.
Whisk together the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla pudding mix until you have a nice and fluffy frosting. Then pipe it evenly onto the top of each of the cupcakes.
Sprinkle the cupcakes with chocolate chips, toffee bites, pretzels, and potato chips. Then drizzle caramel syrup evenly over the top, and voila!
Tips for making Kitchen Sink Cupcakes:
- You can substitute sour cream instead of the plain greek yogurt.
- The frosting has whipped cream in it so the cupcakes will need to be kept in the fridge.
- If you can’t find Snyder’s Itty Bitty Pretzels you can use any mini pretzels, some larger pretzels will need to be broken up into pieces first.
- The pretzels and chips on top of the cupcakes can get soggy if they sit for too long, so I recommend adding them right before enjoying the cupcakes.
These kitchen sink cupcakes are the perfect sweet and salty treats, the chocolate cupcake, vanilla pudding, and all the toppings. They’re soft cupcakes, and crunchy on top, and so so so delicious!

Hi. I would like to enquire what is pudding mix n sorry to say that it has been difficult to follow some of your recipes because some of your ingredients might not be halal (that means cannot use because our religion forbids d use of pork n all its variants). So sometimes I just admire d pictures only. N at times I cannot get d ingredients or it is too expensive. I would appreciate advice on how to lessen d amount of sugar in your recipes.
