Thanksgiving Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (1/2 stick)
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 cups turkey drippings*
  • salt (to taste)
  • pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  • Slice the butter into thin pieces and melt it in a large sauce pan over medium high heat.
  • Once the butter is melted add in the flour and stir it together with the butter till combined. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until nice and fragrant.
  • Slowly pour in the liquid while whisking to combine everything together.
  • Bring to a slow boil and allow everything to cook until gravy gets to desired thickness.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
