Caramel Popcorn Balls

These caramel popcorn balls are your next favorite treat! They're made in the microwave in just a few minutes. They're the perfect gooey, chewy, sweet, and salty and are perfect for a movie night, or for sharing with friends.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 cups popped popcorn

Instructions

  • Combine the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and condensed milk in a large microwave safe bowl.
  • Microwave for 2 minutes, then stir. Then another 2 minutes, and stir, then another 2 minutes and stir.
  • Stir in the baking soda and vanilla extract.
  • Add the popped popcorn to a giant bowl.
  • Pour the melted caramel over the popcorn, and stir it carefully to cover the popcorn evenly in the caramel.
  • Allow the caramel popcorn to cool for a couple minutes.
  • Spray your hands with nonstick spray to keep the caramel from sticking to them.
  • Grab a handful of the popcorn and squish it together gently, and carefully roll it into a ball.
  • Repeat with remaining popcorn.
