Plum Ice Cream
Plum ice cream is made with fresh plums, honey, and 3 dairy products with a dash of orange and cinnamon

- 1 lb plums cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/3 cup orange juice fresh squeezed
- 2 3 inch strips of fresh orange zest
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 7 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup whole milk
- 4 oz heavy whipping cream
Place loaf pan or ice cream container in the freezer to cool
Add chopped plums, honey, strips of orange zest, orange juice, and cinnamon to a large deep saucepan
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sauce is syrupy and plums are tender. About 8 minutes.
Discard strips of orange zest
Mash fruit lightly, there still will be plum peel - this is okay
Cool completely
Mix whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and whipping cream in with plum syrup
Pour mixture into your ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's directions to freeze
Transfer plum ice cream from ice cream maker to ice cream container. Cover and freeze until hardened at least 2 hours
