  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat a griddle or a pan on the stove top to medium heat.
  • In a small bowl mix your butter, garlic and salt together. Set aside. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, 1/2 TBS garlic, 1/4 tsp salt
  • Lay out one slice of bread, top with a slice of cheddar cheese, then mozzarella, and a slice of Swiss cheese and then top with another slice of bread. 8 slices Sourdough Bread, 4 slices cheddar cheese, 4 slices mozzarella cheese, 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • Spread one side of sandwich with about 1/2 TBS of the garlic butter. Place onto your griddle, spread side down.
  • Coat top side with additional 1/2 TBS garlic butter.
  • Flip sandwich after a couple minutes and once bottom starts to turn golden brown.
  • Cook for additional 2 minutes until cheese is fully melted.
  • Repeat with additional sandwiches.

Notes

  • Low and Slow: Cook the sandwiches on medium low to ensure we get a nice golden crust on the exterior and fully melt the cheese in the middle of the sandwich.
  • Garlic Hack: If you're in a pinch use garlic powder in the butter instead of fresh garlic.
  • Extra Toppings: Add extras like crispy bacon, fresh spinach, sliced tomatoes, or ham of added flavor and texture.
