Malted Chocolate Chip Cookies

A twist on your traditional chocolate chip cookies with malted milk as a base. It tastes like a chocolate chip malt in a cookie.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks, softened)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 TBS vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup malted milk powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup chopped whopper candies (or other malted milk balls)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • flaky sea salt

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare your cookie pan with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  • Mix together the butter and sugars until light ant creamy. 1 cup unsalted butter, 1 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Add in the eggs, and vanilla and stir well. 2 large eggs, 1 TBS vanilla extract
  • Add in all your dry ingredients, flour, malted milk powder, baking soda and salt, and mix ingredients until just combined.2 1/2 cups all purpose flour, 1/2 cup malted milk powder, 1 tsp baking soda, 1/2 tsp salt
  • Fold in the whopper candy pieces and chocolate chips. 1 1/2 cup chopped whopper candies, 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Roll cookie dough into 2 TBS sized balls and place on prepared cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake cookies for 10-13 minutes, until they are lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let cookies cool on the cookie sheet for about 10 minutes. Top each cookie with a couple extra chocolate chips and whopper pieces.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt. flaky sea salt
  • Then transfer them to a cooling rack to cool completely
