Poppy Seed Dressing
This homemade Poppy Seed Dressing is one of those super easy recipes that instantly makes your salads taste better. It's creamy, sweet, and tangy, and packed with a fresh flavor, and the little poppy seeds add just the best little bite of texture.

- 3/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 3 TBS Granulated Sugar
- 2 TBS Whole Milk
- 2 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1/4 tsp Salt (to taste)
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper (to taste)
- 1 tsp Poppy Seeds
Add the mayo, sugar, milk, vinegar, salt, and pepper to a bowl or blender and mix for 30 seconds until smooth. 3/4 cup Mayonnaise, 3 TBS Granulated Sugar, 2 TBS Whole Milk, 2 TBS Apple Cider Vinegar, 1/4 tsp Salt, 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
Taste and adjust if needed, add more vinegar for more tang, and a little more sugar for a sweeter flavor.
Add in the poppy seeds, and stir them until well combined. 1 tsp Poppy Seeds
Transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge until ready to serve. Or serve immediately over your favorite salad.
- Adjust the Consistency: For a thinner dressing add more milk, for a thicker dressing dressing add less milk.
- Let it Chill: The dressing is great served immediately, but the flavors really blend together so well after letting it refrigerate and chill overnight.
- If it Separates: If your dressing separates a little in the fridge, its totally normal. Just shake it up or stir before serving.
- Serving Size: The recipe makes about 1 1/4 cups of dressing. So it makes about 8 portions of about 2.5 TBS each, or 9 portions of 2 TBS each. The nutrition information is calculated for 8 portions.
