Pumpkin Syrup

This Pumpkin Syrup is loaded with cozy fall flavors, and will quickly become a go-to in your kitchen! It's perfect for mixing into lattes, drizzling over pancakes, or adding to your yogurt to add the perfect pumpkin flavor. With just a few ingredients, in a few minutes you'll have your own pumpkin spice syrup ready to elevate your favorite fall drinks and treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 TBS pumpkin puree
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients except the vanilla to a small sauce pan over medium heat. 1 cup water, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 TBS pumpkin puree, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/8 tsp ground cloves, 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • Heat over medium, stirring everything together until the mixture comes to a boil.
  • Lower the temperature, to let the mixture simmer, then cook for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the syrup thickens.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a glass bottle or other airtight container.
  • You can keep unused syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Shake syrup before using.
