Pumpkin Syrup

- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 TBS pumpkin puree
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp vanilla
Add all ingredients except the vanilla to a small sauce pan over medium heat. 1 cup water, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, 3 TBS pumpkin puree, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, 1/8 tsp ground cloves, 1/8 tsp ground ginger
Heat over medium, stirring everything together until the mixture comes to a boil.
Lower the temperature, to let the mixture simmer, then cook for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the syrup thickens.
Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a glass bottle or other airtight container.
You can keep unused syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Shake syrup before using.
