Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Mug

This chocolate chip cookie in a mug is the perfect way to have the delicious flavors of a chocolate chip cookie in just a few minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 TBS unsalted butter
  • 1 TBS granulated sugar
  • 1 TBS brown sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/8 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 TBS mini chocolate chips (regular size is fine too)

Instructions

  • Add the butter to a mug and microwave it for 20-30 seconds, or until melted.
  • Add in the granulated sugar, and brown sugar and stir it together until combined.
  • Add in the egg yolk and vanilla extract and stir until smooth.
  • Stir in the flour, and salt.
  • Stir in about 1 1/2 TBS of the chocolate chips.
  • Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the top of the batter.
  • Microwave on high for 40 to 60 seconds, checking first after 40 seconds to see if the cookie looks done (it should spring back lightly when touched).
  • Enjoy warm topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
