Chocolate cookies stuffed with chocolate chips just for you!
I’ve got another delicious “Cookies for Two” Recipe for you today. This time the cookies are double chocolate cookies for two. That’s a chocolate cookie stuffed full of delicious chocolate chips. These cookies came out as a seriously soft and seriously chocolatey cookie. They were delicious.
The cookies were very chocolate, but who doesn’t love chocolate? And they tasted perfect with a giant glass of milk alongside.
My husband and I both loved these double chocolate cookies and we loved that we each got 2 large cookies to eat, but no more.

I made this recipe at midnight— because sometimes, you just have to. I rolled the dough balls in granulated sugar before baking and formed them into pucks. They came out perfectly crackly and so, so, so delicious. Really hit that chocolate craving! I will definitely keep this recipe around for another desperate midnight craving. And I recommend the extra step of rolling in sugar if you like a crackled cookie like I do!

Hi! These look great! I’m thinking about making them tonight! How do the results from using the egg yolk differ from using the 3 TBS of an egg? Thanks a lot!
Andrea
Aimee says
I’m not sure about the varying results in chewiness, but they should provide the same amount of moisture for the dough, so the results should be fairly similar. I haven’t made them side by side at the same time to compare, but both should work great!

I have never baked cookies from scratch , was really excited when I came across this recipe 🙂 sadly my cookies didn’t become flat they remained as it is in the oven though temperature was right !! Do you have any idea what may be the problem ?? 🙁
Aimee Berrett says
So sorry! Usually it’s because there is too much flour, we all measure and scoop it out so differently, so next time, if you try again I’d start with only 4 TBS and then check the consistency of the dough. If is not too sticky, then roll them up and bake !
Sad baker says
Thanks for the tip next time I’ll do that 🙂 nevertheless the cookies were delicious and a quick fix for my craving !!

I never leave comments but I wanted to let you know that I stumbled across this recipe somehow while looking for a brownie recipe and decided to try this instead. I am so glad I did because these were exactly what I wanted! I used semi-sweet chips and they were seriously perfect. Thanks for the recipe! I’m dying to try more of your cookies for two recipes 🙂
Aimee Berrett says
I’m so glad you found it then!! You definitely need to try the other cookie for two recipes. I love them all!!
Elizabeth says
SO yummy! I only wish you ALSO posted the recipe for a regular sized batch of cookies, would love to take these to work…but not by making them four at a time :/ p.s.- these cookies? with reeses peanut butter chips? TO DIE FOR
Aimee Berrett says
Haha, I will try working on a regular batch of chocolate cookies just for you, but in the mean time I think you could quadruple the ingredients in this current recipe, or you could just use the chocolate dough from my chocolate and chocolate chip swirl cookies. http://lmld.org/2013/05/27/chocolate-and-chocolate-chip-swirl-cookies. That recipe makes about 4 dozen cookies, so with just the chocolate dough it should make 2 dozen.

You and your two people cookies! I end up making them, but since my husband isn’t home I eat both servings!
Aimee Berrett says
Ha! That’s okay, at least its only 4 cookies instead of 2 dozen 😀
