Chex Mix is such a classic snack mix, full of Chex cereal, bagel chips, pretzels, and nuts and bursting full of so much flavor! It’s one of my favorite savory snacks to munch on – so I decided it was time to make my own and share it with you.
February is Almond Month and National Snacking Month, so I figured this was the perfect time to share a delicious snack with you, with almonds in it. Almonds on their own are such a great snack, because they are healthy and good for us, full of protein to give us energy throughout the day, and also because I can add them to delicious recipes like this.
Chex Party Mix is a great snack mix to keep on hand when you need a little something salty to munch on. The almonds help to keep it filling for you and just add that perfect crunch.
This party mix tastes just like the real deal that you can get at the store and it makes your kitchen smell amazing while it’s baking!
It’s made with three kinds of Chex cereal, bite sized pretzels, and almonds, coated in a sauce made of butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder and season salt. You’re welcome to mix up your ingredients a bit, though I recommend keeping the sauce the same cause that’s where all the flavor comes from and cooks into it. If you want to mix it up you could also add, bagel chips (I couldn’t find any at the store though :/) mixed nuts, Cheerios, goldfish crackers or other crackers, or anything else crunchy and delicious that you might want to add.
This snack mix is perfect for a grab and go snack, to share with friends at a game night, to munch on while watching the big game, or to bag up and share with neighbors for the holidays. Whenever and however you have it, I just know you will love this homemade almond chex party mix!

Susan says
For the almonds, did you use lightly salted or raw?
Sheila in MD says
I have the same question! Raw or roasted?
Aimee says
I used roasted almonds, but the mix is also cooked in the oven, so you can buy raw if you prefer.
