These Cap’n Crunch marshmallow krispies are made the same way as traditional crispy treats, and I like mine with extra marshmallows so I did the same these for these Cap’n Crunch treats. For these treats you just need mini marshmallows, butter (or margarine) and of course Cap’n Crunch cereal.
I like mine with Cap’n Crunch with berries, but you could do the regular without berries or Oops all berries too.
First, you’ll add your marshmallows and butter to a large sauce pan over medium high heat and allow them to melt together for a few minutes till nice and gooey. Then you’ll mix in your Cap’n Crunch cereal and a few more mini marshmallows to make the treats extra gooey, sticky and delicious!
These Cap’n Crunch treats are so good! I promise you and your kids will love them too!

I made these last night, followed the recipe exactly. I have made rice krispie treats many times over the years and was skeptical about using Capn Crunch because they are so rough in your mouth. But using less cereal and adding some unmelted marshmallows and not pressing down too much in the pan, resulted in a very good edible delicious treat. We really enjoyed these. Thank you!

So glad you enjoyed them. I love the fruity flavor the Capn Crunch cereal gives

Hi, me again. Been using house-brand fruit loops cereal with a big handful of chocolate chips tossed in, getting good reviews 🙂

We don’t buy small bags of marshmallows, as I use them in several recipes. How many cups of marshmallows total for this recipe?
Aimee says
It should be about 6 cups

Chappelle says
There were way too sticky and hard. I think the roof of my mouth is bleeding. I would cut back on the extra marshmallows next time although there probably won’t be a next time.
Aimee Berrett says
Sorry they were too hard for you. I know a lot of people have a hard time eating captain crunch cause they eat at your mouth, ive never had that problem, but my husband does. However, if the treats hot too hard its usually because the butter and marshmallows hot cooked too fast or too long. They should turn out to be nice and gooey if you cook them at low temp. Sorry!
Nicole says
Lol dont blame your inability to properly cook delicious treats on the recipe, it’s super easy and the melted butter and marshmallow actually soften the cereal if you do it right
