Your favorite orange creamsicle in a cookie, the great flavor combinations of orange and vanilla!
Can you tell that I have been in the mood for orange desserts lately, with the orange bundt cake we shared earlier this week and now these creamsicle cookies? And when I first saw these cookies from The Girl Who Ate Everything they immediately went on my to make list. Something about the citrus is just perfect for spring time. Oranges just remind me of sunshine, freshness and warmth.
And one of my favorite combos with orange is creamsicle. The combo of that creamy vanilla ice cream and orange popsicle is just dreamy.
And these cookies combine those flavors perfectly too. Their creamy, orangey, and loaded with white chocolate chips. Yum!
These cookies have a little orange juice and a little orange zest to give them that perfect orange flavor. These cookies bake up to be so soft and tender and like I said before, delicious.

I had a big event coming up and wanted a summery cookie so I gave this recipe a shot. Pretty tasty if I say so myself. One thing though, Aimee estimated the yield for 1 batch at 2 & 1/2 dozen. Based on that , and needing cookies for about 80 people I tripled the recipe. Hoping for about 8 dozen. 12 & 1/2 dozen cookies later I was done. I used a tablespoon sized disher for uniformity so I think it’s safe to say Aimee’s cookies were much larger than mine.

Suzie! I’m so glad to hear that you loved the cookies as much as I did! Sorry if you ended up having too many though! 🙂

About how many cookies does this recipe yield? Thank you!
Aimee Berrett says
I can’t remember exactly, sorry I didnt write it down. I would guess about 2.5 dozen

Do you think these would have enough orange flavor without the zest? I have everything to make these except an orange and would like to make these for a BBQ this weekend
Aimee Berrett says
I actually think most of the orange flavor comes from the zest, the juice doesn’t give it too much flavor. However, that doesn’t mean they wouldn’t still be good with a lighter orange flavor. Let me know if you try it
Kelsey says
Thanks for the response! I will let you know!
