Muddy buddies might just be my favorite snack. They’re so good they’re practically addicting. So after creating a new version last week with the s’mores muddy buddies I knew that I had to try even more flavors. (I know, I’m pretty late to the game!) Well, these snickerdoodle muddy buddies are another completely irresistible treat.
They’re made from General Mills Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal, coated in white chocolate and covered in a cinnamon powdered sugar. They’re little bites of white chocolate cinnamon goodness.
The cinnamon toast crunch cereal is the perfect base for these muddy buddies because it just gives them that extra cinnamon sugar kick!

Ingredients Needed:
- White Chocolate Chips
- Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal – you could also use half cinnamon toast crunch, half rice chex cereal if desired
- Powdered Sugar
- Ground Cinnamon – adds a nice real cinnamon flavor
How to make Snickerdoodle Muddy Buddies?
- Add the white chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments, stirring as much as you can after each, until you can stir it totally smooth.
- Pour the cereal into a large mixing bowl and pour the melted white chocolate chips over the top. Stir it together to coat the cereal evenly in the melted chocolate.
- Mix the powdered sugar and cinnamon is a separate small bowl. Add the coated cereal to a large zip top bag and add in the powdered sugar mixture. Shake to coat the cereal evenly in the powdered sugar.
- Add in an additional 1 cup of cereal to the mix if desired to show the cinnamon swirl of the cereal pieces.
- Pour it all onto a baking sheet and let it sit until the chocolate is set.
Tips and Tricks:
- Use 3 cups Chex Cereal and 3 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal to get an extra crunchy cinnamony cereal, mixed with the classic texture of Muddy Buddies
- Make these like traditional muddy buddies with white chocolate instead of milk chocolate – if you want to try peanut butter snickerdoodle muddy buddies.
- Add in some pumpkin pie spice of apple pie spice to the powdered sugar with the cinnamon for a fun flavor twist.
- Add in about 1 to 1.5 cups of additional add ins. You could add in m&ms, marshmallows, pretzels, etc.
How to store?
Muddy buddies can be stored in an air-tight container or ziplock bag at room temperature for up to 10 days.
This snickerdoodle puppy chow is a delicious new twist on the classic puppy chow recipe. It has the same great flavor of a snickerdoodle cookie, all wrapped up into a delicious snack mix.

Snickerdoodle Muddy Buddies
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
- 8 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal (divided)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 TBS cinnamon
Equipment
- Large Mixing Bowl
Instructions
- In a medium sized bowl, microwave your white chocolate chips in 30 second increments (about 1.5 minutes total) stirring after each, till smooth.
- Pour 7 cups of your cereal into a large bowl and pour the white chocolate over the top.
- Stir until cereal is almost completely coated with the white chocolate.
- Combine your powdered sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
- Pour your cereal into a large gallon sized ziplock bag and add powdered sugar.
- Shake until cereal is completely coated.
- Toss additional 1 cup of cereal into the mix.
