Pin this tropical green smoothie for later.
I always have good intentions of eating better, exercising more and living a healthier lifestyle that lasts approximately 5 or 6 days before the weekend comes, or a holiday, or an event, or who knows what and I come up with some sort of excuse or just totally blow my healthier living. Until I remember I really do need to be a healthier person and start all over again a few weeks, or months later. So, for now I started a healthy challenge with some family members where we each get points for certain things we do each day, and the winner of the whole thing (which lasts 6 weeks) will get money from everyone else! We are one week in and I’m still on track!
I figured to actually get myself to stick to my plans for more than two seconds I needed to be kept accountable by others, plus the idea of winning money is pretty exciting too! So for part of the challenge I am counting my calories every day. So, I’m trying to find more delicious smoothie recipes, that are also filling. And this tropical green smoothie is perfect! Its loaded with 2 whole cups of spinach – which is full of fiber, iron, protein, calcium and more – its stuffed full of so many good things for our bodies and the perfect addition to this smoothie. The spinach turns the smoothie a beautiful green color, but thanks to the banana you can’t taste the spinach in your smoothie at all!
The smoothie is also packed full of frozen mango, frozen pineapple, frozen banana (like I mentioned ^^^), orange juice and low fat vanilla greek yogurt – I love the flavor that vanilla yogurt adds to smoothies, and the creaminess too!
You’ll blend everything up in your blender and voila, your smoothie is ready to go. Perfect for a delicious breakfast, light lunch, or a great snack too!
I divided my smoothie into 3 servings, but you could do 2 or 4 depending how much smoothie each person wants of course. Of course, I’m not a nutritionist, and if you are counting calories its great to track everything on your own, but my 1/3rd portion of this smoothie was only 168 calories.

Thank you sooo much for all these amazing recipes. I would like to ask you, is it good to combine fruits with vitamin C with milk or yogurt??
Aimee Berrett says
I’ve never heard otherwise, your stomach would curdle the milk anyway with stomach acids, so I dont believe there are any issues.
