Ranch dip is the best snack, or appetizer starter. It’s perfect paired with a big bag of salty chips, or a tray of fresh veggies. You could even use it to dress your favorite salad.
This is perfect for serving with dinner to get your kids (and you 😉 ) to eat more veggies, as part of the spread for a football game feast, you name it.
This homemade ranch dip is so much better than the dry ranch packets mixed up with sour cream. Instead this ranch dip is made with your own dry seasonings. It is simple to make with ingredients you’ll most likely have on hand already.
How to make ranch dip?
You need dried chives, parsley, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix those all together with some sour cream, and mayonnaise and you’ve got yourself an amazing and delicious creamy homemade ranch dip.
Cover the dip and place it in the fridge for 30 minutes, to let the flavors meld together.
How long does ranch dip stay good?
Any leftovers of the ranch dip can be covered in an airtight container and stored in the fridge for about 3 days.

Ranch Dip
Ingredients
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 tsp dried chives
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried dill weed
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt (to taste)
- 1/8 dash pepper
Equipment
- Large Mixing Bowl
Instructions
- Add the mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, parsley, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to a large bowl.
- Stir everything together till mixed well.
- Cover and place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes o chill before serving.
