This strawberry lemonade is the perfect fresh way to start your day, or for a tangy sweet snack. It’s only 3 ingredients and so refreshing for a hot summer day!
A strawberry lemonade smoothie doesn’t always seem like the right choice for the middle of winter, but even in January I love eating and drinking food and drinks that can brighten my day.
My kid’s love smoothies as much as I do, so they’re great ways for me to get them to eat their fruits (and vegetables sometimes too 😉 ) Smoothies are such a great option for breakfast, or a snack, or even for a little something sweet at the end of the day.
My kids don’t even notice when I sneak spinach into their smoothies (except for the color, but they love the color green so they don’t mind) and they love starting their day with a blueberry smoothie, or this tropical green smoothie.
This strawberry lemonade smoothie is a little more on the sweet side, but it still has a serving of fruit, so we will count it as a win either way.
How to make this Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie?
This smoothie is so easy to make. It’s as easy as throwing everything into a blender, and blending it up till smooth. That’s literally all you do.
For this tasty strawberry lemonade smoothie all you will need is frozen strawberries, lemonade and yogurt. You can use vanilla yogurt, strawberry yogurt, or lemon yogurt. If you don’t already have lemonade on hand, and don’t want to buy lemonade just for this recipe you can instead use 1/2 cup water, 2 TBS fresh lemon juice and 2 TBS sugar or honey.
You can also use different frozen berries or other fruit options. Some other delicious options to use instead of frozen strawberries would be:
- frozen raspberries
- frozen blueberries
- frozen blackberries
- frozen peaches
Using frozen strawberries are the key to making this smoothie. The frozen fruit is what gives the smoothie a nice and thick texture, without needing to add ice, which would water down the flavor more.
This strawberry lemonade smoothie has such a fresh taste, and is bursting with sweetness, and the perfect tangy citrus flavor. It’s refreshing to cool down with on a hot day, but since it uses frozen strawberries you can make it any day of the year. And I just know you’ll love it anytime you make it.

All time favorite! I used fresh lemon juice with sugar, it was perfect for me. I’m going to try it with blueberries next. 🙂

Nice and simple recipe. I did add sugar and honey as it was a little too bitter for my liking. Perfect after that.
