Homemade chocolate magic shells is only two ingredients and only takes a couple minutes to make. Its the best ice cream topping!
Magic shell always seemed like magic to me growing up, you pour the chocolate sauce over the top of your ice cream and like 30 seconds later its hard! I always love adding that sweet chocolatey crunch to the top of my ice cream for a delicious dessert!
You only need two ingredients to make homemade magic shell. You’ll need chocolate and coconut oil. You can use chocolate chips, a chopped up chocolate bar, or whatever. You’ll need about 2 cups worth, or about 11-12 ounces.
Now instead of buying magic shell at the store that is made with like 10 different ingredients, you can make it from the comfort of your own home, and know exactly what is going into it.
This recipe makes enough magic shell to enjoy for a while, so it can be kept in an air tight container (like a mason jar) for a few months at least! So just store it in your pantry, for when you want it! (Ps. if you do accidentally stick it in the fridge like I have, you can just re-microwave it, microwave in 30 second increments, stirring after each, until its nice and smooth again.)

I was so excited when I found this recipe, I love Magic Shell. When I made your recipe it only stayed soft for 1 day then turned to rock hard chocolate. WHY???? The container was sealed tight and was never near the refrigerator. PLEASE PLEASE why???

Coconut oil gets hard below 76 degrees, so if your house is colder than that there is a chance it will get solid. All you need to do is zap it in the microwave for a few seconds and it’ll be good to go again.

I remove my eye makeup with coconut oil, I also use it to various recipes including a Dominican rice dish, chicken or anything I want to add a coco nutty taste. I looooove coconut oil and I always keep it in the house

So funny that I’m reading this right now because I currently have coconut oil on my FACE. Yup, my face. My client that works at trader Joe’s (I think it’s only $5 there) told me about all the uses for it and one of them was as a nighttime moisturizer. I use it on my feet at night and put on socks before I go to bed and I wake up post pedicure looking feet 🙂

I use it in everything. It’s a healthier substitute for butter/shortening. I love it. There’s a lot of recipes online. LMK if you want any links.
