These homemade garlic bread sticks are perfect paired with soups, salads, pastas, pizzas, and more! They’re covered in melted butter and herbs and the easiest bread sticks you’ll have make.
One of our favorite things to eat with a fresh salad or soup are garlic bread sticks. You know what I mean, the perfect soft bread sticks with that amazing garlic, cheesy taste. These garlic bread sticks are exactly what your taste buds want to eat.
Who doesn’t love carbs upon carbs and when they meet up with cheese and garlic and herbs, you’ve got the most delicious combo. These bread sticks are amazing served as a side dish, or paired with a little bowl of marinara, or even delicious on their own!
How to make Garlic Bread Sticks?
First, you start with a pre-made pizza dough. Feel free to use our favorite dough recipe, which is so soft and fresh, or your own favorite recipe, or evenstore bought (sometimes that is just easier and we are all about easy.)
Then melt 1/2 cup of butter – butter is the food of the gods or at least makes every food taste like the food of the gods. Sprinkle in some grated Parmesan cheese, parsley, minced garlic, and a dash of garlic salt for all over goodness.
Divide the pizza dough into 15 balls. Then you want to roll those into 15 long bread sticks. You can leave them straight as is or add a little twist to them. I love the twist, see how pretty.
Set the prepared sticks on top of a pizza stone that has been lightly sprinkled with corn meal. Slather, and I mean really slather, the bread sticks with the melted Parmesan herb butter mixture and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Remove your garlic bread sticks from the oven and slather them again with more of that melted butter mixture. This gives them the perfect all over garlic cheese flavor in every bite. Because you can never have too much butter and cheese and garlic!
Serve warm for that melt in your mouth, taste of heaven. I promise you won’t regret it.
These amazing garlic bread sticks are the perfect side to so many of your favorite meals. They’re so simple, and so delicious.
And did I mention, as they bake up in the oven you will have the best smell of fresh garlic and herbs, and fresh bread filling your kitchen and your house. That alone makes it worth it, but eating them up makes it even better.

How do you twist them ?
Aimee says
After rolling them into long breadsticks you just twist them by turning the ends the opposite directions.
