This sweet berry sauce is only 6 ingredients, and so easy to make at home. The tangy sweet blueberries pair perfectly with a tangy cheesecake.
3. Lemon Curd
Tangy lemon curd pairs perfectly with a slice of cheesecake underneath. Pair it with some fresh berries and whipped cream for the ultimate dessert.
4. Cherry Pie Filling
You can use a homemade, or store bought pie filling. Sometimes you just need to go easy and go with store bought, and that’s okay. Try other pie fillings too, like Apple, strawberry, or even peach.
5. Fresh Fruit
This is a combination that stands the test of time. You can choose some sliced up fresh fruit like mango, peaches, kiwi. Or some vibrant fresh berries like blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, or fresh strawberries.
6. Fruit Compotes
A variety of fruit compotes would be delicious on cheesecake. Try strawberry compote, raspberry compote, blueberry compote, or other flavors.

Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top of your cheesecake, because chocolate makes everything better!
A homemade hot fudge sauce, or grab a jar from the store – it’s the perfect way to make your cheesecake a star.
Caramel sauce is one of my favorite things to put on a slice of cheesecake, or even better salted caramel sauce. It makes it so lush and decadent.
10. Butterscotch Sauce
Butterscotch is just a little different flavor than caramel, and is smooth, rich and perfect for a cheesecake.
11. Chocolate Ganache
Chocolate ganache is only 2 ingredients, and has such a rich chocolate flavor. It’s the perfect smooth sauce poured over the top of a cheesecake.

Biscoff Spread, Speculoos, or Cookie Butter are one of my favorite flavors, and would be so good paired with a slice of cheesecake.
14. Nutella
Warm some Nutella up and add it to the top of a cheesecake in dollops or drizzled. It would be extra good with some strawberries too.
15. Whipped Cream
Personally I think every cheesecake needs homemade whipped cream made with heavy whipping cream. It’s a perfect pairing with any of the other toppings too. You can also use store bought whipped cream like Reddi Whip, or Cool Whip.
16. Marshmallow Fluff
Dollops of marshmallow cream on top of a cheesecake. Add some extra graham cracker crumbs, and chocolate shavings for a whole s’mores effect.

19. Chocolate Chips or Chocolate Shavings
Because everything is better with chocolate. Add some mini chocolate chips or chocolate shavings over the top of your cheesecake to make it richer, chocolatey, and add a nice texture. You can use dark chocolate, white chocolate shavings, or whatever you prefer.
20. Chopped Candy Bars
Some of my favorites are snickers, butterfingers, or Reese’s peanut butter cups.

Choose your favorite chopped nuts to put on top of your cheesecake, roasted peanuts, cashews, pecans, or macadamia nuts would be delicious.
22. Toffee pieces
Pieces of homemade toffee, or buy some toffee bits from the store. They add such a nice crunch to the top of the cheesecake, and their buttery sweet flavor is so delicious.
The sweet flavor of edible cookie dough would pair so nicely with a slice of cheesecake. Roll it into small balls and add a few on top of your piece so you can have some in each bite.
It’s hard to choose the perfect topping for your cheesecake, so there is no need to stop at just one. Pick two or three of your favorites for your cheesecake to make it the best.
Or better yet set up a cheesecake topping bar so everyone can choose their favorite combinations. Some might like strawberries and hot fudge sauce, another might want lemon curd and whipped cream, another might want Oreos and cookie dough pieces.
Add all the toppings to small balls and set them up with spoons next to the sliced cheesecake so everyone can make the dessert ultra decadent.

Many of the items are store bought, but you can click on the bolded items in the list at the bottom for recipes for those. You’ll have to find separate recipes that are specific for canning.
