How to make Grinch Fudge?
Add the white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk to a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave the mixture in 30 second increments, stirring well after each time until you can stir it all together and the chocolate chips are melted.
Add in a couple drops of green food coloring and stir the mixture until it is totally smooth and the color is even.
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the prepared square baking pan and spread the top evenly.
Lightly press the red heart sprinkles on top of the fudge, spreading them apart evenly so that there will be one heart on each piece of fudge when you cut it. (I usually like to cut my fudge into 25 to 30 pieces.
Place the pan into the fridge and chill for 2 to 3 hours, or overnight. Then cut it into slices and enjoy.
Tips for making Grinch Fudge:
- Make sure you get sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk for this recipe.
- If you don’t have a microwave, you can also make this fudge on the stove top. Add the white chocolate and condensed milk to a small sauce pan and heat it on the stove top over medium heat. Stir it all together until it’s well melted and smooth. Then pour it into the square pan and chill as usual.
How to store fudge?
This green fudge will last for about 2 weeks if kept in an airtight container in the fridge. Separate layers of the fudge with parchment paper or wax paper to prevent them from sticking together.
You can also freeze this fudge. You can freeze it in one big slab or in individual pieces. Wrap the fudge tightly in both plastic wrap and aluminum foil. Then place it into a freezer safe zip top bag or other airtight container. It can be frozen for 2 months.
When you’re ready to enjoy the fudge, place it in the fridge to thaw until it is soft enough to enjoy.
This homemade fudge is rich, smooth, creamy, and delicious. It’s such a fun, delicious holiday treat for the Christmas season that every one will love!
