Sometimes I really love to cook up a delicious batch of waffles or pancakes for breakfast. Sometimes breakfast is a bowl of cereal or yogurt and sometimes breakfast is missed, usually only when I am in a hurry to go somewhere. But I hate missing breakfast, it is my favorite meal of the day – probably why we have breakfast for dinner occasionally. On those days that you don’t have time for breakfast or are just in the mood for more, Jimmy Dean Breakfast Delights will be perfect. They are quick, easy, and delicious.
First off, let me tell you where to find them. I thought they might be with the sausage and bacon in the deli section but you will find these in the frozen food aisle with your other breakfast options. I purchased mine at WalMart, but I am sure you will find them in your favorite grocery store.
One of the best discoveries about Jimmy Dean Breakfast Delights is their packaging. The sandwiches come in a box of 4, each sandwich is individually wrapped, easily separated along the perforation from the others and so easily opened without scissors just pull the top wrap off by grabbing the edge of the wrap. These guys thought this through and know we don’t have time to mess with the wrappers.
There are several different sandwich flavors – bacon, egg, & cheese on honey wheat flatbread; turkey sausage, egg white & cheese on English muffin; turkey sausage, egg, & cheese on honey wheat flatbread; Canadian bacon, egg white, & cheese on honey wheat English muffin; turkey sausage, egg white, & cheese on croissant; egg white with spinach & mozzarella-style cheese on honey wheat flatbread; and turkey sausage, egg white, and cheese on a whole grain bagel And they are all less than 300 calories each and packed full of protein! Such a great way to start your morning right!
Now I will admit I was a lot cautious and wary about the taste, let me tell you why. I love eggs but only if there is the gooey yolk to cover up the flavor of the white. There are those who love only the white of the egg and those like me who love the yolk. The Jimmy Dean Breakfast Delight Sandwiches are egg white only! part of making them healthy and low calorie for you.
Craig ate the turkey sausage, egg white, & cheese on croissant and thought it was quite tasty. He did add ketchup to his egg but he does that with all his eggs, so this is no reflection on the sandwich. I took a bite of his and thought the sausage was great. I had the Canadian bacon, egg white, & cheese on the honey wheat muffin and gobbled it right down. It was so good! Even coming from the yolk lover that I am, I loved it. The flavors of the cheese, Canadian bacon, and egg white were all great together. The egg white was not dry and was very flavorful, I was pleasantly surprised. I am not sure how Jimmy Dean took this healthy and I must say low-calorie breakfast sandwich (mine has only 210 calories per serving) and made it so good but they did it!
If you are not a breakfast sandwich lover they have other options too: maple pancakes & turkey sausage griddlers or cinnamon glazed french toast & turkey sausage griddlers (I will have to look for that one next time at WalMart – it sounds so delicious); turkey sausage breakfast bowl; and garden blend breakfast bowl (think breakfast burrito with out the tortilla and low calorie).
Now you might think these are expensive but just under $5.00 for 4 sandwiches is a better bargain than you are going to get at your local fast food restaurant and quicker too. It just took a couple of minutes in the microwave (follow the directions) and they were fresh, warm, not soggy or dry, and delicious. You can sit down to enjoy with fruit and milk or heat and go on your busy mornings.
I would definitely get these delicious Jimmy Dean Breakfast Delights again, and you should try them too! Be sure to head to your local Walmart to pick up some delicious Jimmy Dean Delight Breakfast sandwiches.

Justr tried these. THey are not as tasty, nor are they as easy to prepare as a nearly identical product (Fit & Active brand) from Aldi. If you have an Aldi nearby, check it out. Bonus: Aldi turkey sausage breakfast muffins are several dollars cheaper.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any Aldi stores on the west coast.

I love Jimmy Dean, and somehow had no idea they had such a fun line of breakfast products! I’ll have to add these to my grocery list for sure!

I did not realize they had this line either and am so glad I tried them out. Let me know which one because your favorite. So far I am leaning toward the sausage.

Okay, I haven’t tried these, but want to so bad, I guess I better pick some up while I am at the store today!
Ellen Garrett says
Did you purchase some? I want to go back and find the French toast.
Amber @ Dessert Now, Dinner Later! says
Crap, no! I forgot to write it on my list!

I have not tried these, so it is nice to read a review from someone who has. I will need to check the ingredients list, but do you know if there are a lot of ‘chemicals’ in them, or HFCS?
Thanks!
Ellen Garrett says
What do you consider chemicals? It has things like potassium citrate – which some may consider a chemical and some not. I recommend you read the listing of ingredients. I would never want to be considered an expert on chemical ingredients. Good luck.

I’ve had these, and they are good. It’s nice to have some healthier options when you’re in a hurry.

I know, these are perfect for when you are in a hurry. I know Craig couldn’t have picked a quicker or healthier breakfast when his slept in because his alarm did not go off. What is your favorite?

I actually did try to make a whole wheat version and it was really dense – You could try this recipe: http://lmld.org/2013/12/11/wheat-and-oat-bread/
