This recipe takes the classic pigs in a blanket and turns them into a pizza lovers dream. Every bite has the perfect balance of flakey dough, savory sausage, melty cheese, and a hint of pepperoni.
All three of my kids loved these, and you know that’s saying something! When you can get an adult, 11 year old, 8 year old, and 6 year old happy eating the same thing. You know its a winner. They’re fun to make, and guaranteed to be a crowd pleaser!

Why you’ll love these
- Perfect Bite Sized Snack: These bites are easy for kids and adults to grab and smash (into your mouth). No utensils required.
- Pizza Flavors: Take your favorite Pigs in a Blanket and add some mozzarella and pepperoni to make them a pizza flavored snack everyone loves. Don’t forget to serve them with a bowl of your favorite pizza sauce.
- Party Ready: Great for your holiday party, game day, movie night, potluck, or any tables for feeding a crowd.

Ingredients Needed
- Little Smokies Smoked Sausages:
- Crescent Roll Dough: You can use the Sheets or regular Crescent Roll Dough
- Pepperoni: Adds classic pizza flavor. Even my daughter who doesn’t like pepperoni pizza gobbled these down.
- Mozzarella Cheese: Cut into slices so you can roll them up.
- Butter: Brushed on to give them that extra golden finish.
- Italian Seasoning: Adds a little extra flavor on top!
- Garlic Powder: Adds a little extra flavor
- Parmesan: Adds a little extra cheesy flavor

How to make Pizza Pigs in a Blanket

Step 1: Cut the Crescent Rolls. Cut the dough into 24 even slices. I like to cut the dough into 6 slices vertically, then four the other way.

Step 2:Add the Fillings. Add a piece of cheese, pepperoni and a little smokie on top. Roll the dough onto itself wrapping the toppings in the middle of it. Place them seam side down onto a greased cookie sheet.

Step 3: Add the Toppings. Brush each bite with melted butter, then sprinkle the tops with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese.

Step 4: Bake. Bake until the rolls are golden and the cheese is melted (it may ooze out of the pizza bites, that’s okay). Serve hot with your favorite pizza sauce!
Tips and Tricks:
- Use a Pizza Cutter: For a quick way to cut the dough into even pieces, slice the dough into 6 strips the long way, then four lines the other way, for 24 even pieces.
- Crescent Roll Sheets: I love using crescent roll dough sheets for this, so its even easier to cut the dough into rectangle pieces, but if you can’t find them and are using crescent roll dough you can pinch the seams together then cut, or cut each triangle into three smaller triangles instead.
- For Serving: We can’t forget the pizza sauce for the ultimate pizza flavor, but you can also serve these with ranch dressing or honey mustard!

Storage Instructions
These are best eaten fresh, but if you end up with some leftovers you can store them in a container with a lid in the fridge for up to 3 days. Toss them in the air fryer or oven for a few minutes to crisp them back up before enjoying again.

These Pizza Pigs in a Blanket are the ultimate snack food or appetizer. They’re quick, easy, and packed with melty cheese and savory flavor! Keep the recipe handy for game day, or anytime you need a snack!
