Taco Soup is one of the easiest soups to make and it is so hearty, filling, and so good! Toss everything in your crockpot and wait.
Recipe Update: 9/30/14
This blog started out as a way just for my mom and I to share recipes with each other. I wanted her to post our favorite family recipes so I could have them, as well as share any recipes we each found that we liked with each other.
I usually try and think of something to say before a recipe – but in reality most of you are probably just here for the yummy recipe. And let me tell you, this is a delicious recipe. This taco soup is not only one of the easiest recipes ever, its also one of my favorite. Its hearty, filling and so so good. And basically you just toss everything into the crockpot (okay, you have to pre cook the ground beef – but that’s it!) and then throw all the rest of the ingredients into the crock pot, cook for a couple hours, or a few and then you’ll come into your kitchen to the most delicious aroma. Mmm.
This taco soup recipe is one I’ve made again and again. It is actually one of the first recipes I ever posted on this blog. Back in the day when the recipe was only read by mother and I. But back then I didn’t take pictures, and this is such a simple and delicious recipe that I have to share it again with you.
Taco Soup
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 - 14 oz can of corn (not drained)
- 1- 14 oz can of black beans (not drained)

Instructions
- Brown ground beef over medium heat in a small pan.
- Put ground beef, corn, beans, taco seasoning, salsa and tomato sauce in a crock pot. Stir everything together.

Enjoy this heartwarming and tasty soup!

I think your recipe looks delicious…. I want to try this for dinner tomorrow….I need to go to the market to buy some of the things listed here…but I was wondering if making a,fresh pot of beans better as I make my beans and everybody loves them…. I hope to see more soups like this!!!

I’m sure it would work with homemade beans, though I’ve never tried it. Hope you like it!

Well I hope you’ll try this one too. It’s as simple as the hawaiian chicken, and just as good too!

I haven't tried many (any?) of your recipes yet because I'm focusing on getting a few other things in order at our house. Better cooking is one of next year's goals, and your blog is going to be a resource. I do prefer quick recipes, but everything you put here looks divine. How about a random 4, to save space?1–I was a blog addict for five years, but had to give it up so I could add things to my life like sleep and exercise (which is why my list is here instead of on my deleted blog).2–I love astronomy–mostly star gazing and watching the phases of the moon.3–I love being barefoot.4–I have a goal to hike Timp next September.

I laughed out loud at the Ron Swanson quote. We love Ron around here :)Since I just barely found your lovely blog (where have I BEEN all this time?), I haven't tried anything yet. But that doesn't mean everything doesn't sound great! I absolutely love taco soup and make it a little differently than the recipe you posted here. I'll be interested to make it your way! Thanks for the great blog, ladies. And yes! You ARE growing! How exciting!
